What is the fallopian tube?

Fallopian tubes are the tubes that extend from the sides of the uterus towards the ovaries.

The main funciton of the fallopian tubes is to carry the oocyte from the ovary to the uterus. They do this through peristalsis and ciliary movement. They are provide the ideal environment for movement of sperm.
