The six connection points
The Yin principal meridians unite inside of the chest
The Yang principal meridians unite at the head.
The meridians of the same nature and quality are linkes via 6 connection points
- Jingming (BL-1)
- Tongziliao (GB-1)
- Chengqi (St-1)
- Zhongfu (LU-1)
- Tianchi (P-1)
- Jiquan (H-1)
The connection points are less obvious because the links that the Yin meridians with one another are deeper and occur via internal branches
The six climate energies
The arrangement of the meridians according to space allows energy of man to respond to the combined action of the energy form heaven (Yang) and earth (Yin).
The union and tranformation of the energy of heaven and that of 5 agents or elements 9Wu XIng) of earth create the 6 climate energies (Liu Qi): Wind, fire, heat, dampness, drought, cold

- Shao Yang and Shao Yin, in an intermediate position are rspectively the pivot or hinge of Yang and Yin
