Why does the left side of your heart have a thicker wall?

A watery fluid with different substances dissolved: blood plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets. -
What happens to your blood when it rests for a long time?
It divides in 3 different parts: on top, you find the blood plasma, this is 55%. In the middle you find the white blood cells and the platelets, which is only 1%. On the bottom you find the red blood cells, which is 44%. -
