  • How do I calculate a weighted average?

    In a weighted average not all numbers count equally.
    To calculate the weighted average we use weighting factors
    A weighting factor indicates how many times something counts.  

    • e.g. a big test counts 4x, a small test 2x. 
    • I divide the total amount of 4x the big test and 2x the small test by 6 
    • --> the answer gives my weighted average.
