• Is Christian love an emotion or a decision?

  Christian love comes from the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22). The Bible speaks of it as an action and attitude, not just an emotion. Love for others flows from our hearts as a by-product of our new lives in Christ (Rom. 5:5; 1 Cor. 13). Christian love is a decision to act in the best interests of others.

• What to do if the love for others is lacking in your life?

  Ask the Holy Spirit to take away your cold heart and give you a new, loving one.

• What does it mean that Christ is supreme over all who rise from the death?

  Jesus was raised from the death, and his resurrection proves his lordship over the material world. Because of His death on the cross, he has been exalted and elevated to the status that is rightfully his.

• What was the result of the death of Christ?

  Before we believed, we were Gods enemies, separated from Him by our evil thoughts and actions. Through the death of Christ he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

• What was God's secret plan?

  That Christ lives in you. God planned to have His Son, Jesus Christ, live in the hearts of all who believe in him  - even Gentiles like the Colossians.

• How do we become spiritual mature?

  We must tap into the wisdom and power of God's Spirit working in us. Then we can learn and grow daily, motivated by love and not by fear or pride, knowing that Christ is the source who gives us the energy to become all he intends for us to be.

• What does it mean to be rooted in Christ?

  Just as plants draw nourishment from the soil through their roots, we draw our life-giving strength from Christ. The more we draw our strength from him, the less we will be fooled by those we falsely claim to have life's answers apart from Christ.

  The cutting away of your sinful nature. Christ sets us free from our evil desires by performing a spiritual operation, removing the old nature and giving us a new nature.
