  • What is the coeliac disease?

    Inflammation of the mucose of the upper small bowel that improves when gluten is withdrawn from the diet and relapses when gluten is reintroduced.
  • Underlying cause coeliac disease

    Gluten are protein content of the cereals. These proteins are resistant to digestion by pepsin and chymotrypsin because of their high glutamine and proline content àremain in intestinal lumen triggering immune response
  • Symptoms coeliac disease

    GI symptoms may be absenct, diarrhea or steatorrhoea, abdominal discomfort, bloating or pain and weight loss. Infertility, anxiety and depression. Malnutrition.

    Heart burn: aggravates by bending, stooping or lying down, which promotes gastric acid exposure. Complains when drinking hot liquids or alcohol.

    Picornavirus, replicates in the liver, excreted in bile and faeces.
  • Symptoms hepatitis A



    Feeling unwell, nausea, vomiting, mental confusion. Dark urine. Enlarged liver palpable spleen. Arthritis, vasculitis, myocarditis, renal failure.
  • Hepatitis B (HBV)



    Present world-wide virus.
  • Symptoms hepatitis B



    Fever, rashes, arteritis or glomerulonephritis.
