  • Give an explanation to why the Russian revolution started

    It started because Russia had internal problems which means that there was a huge gap between rich and poor. Russia also faced political problems with the Tsar. He lost support of his people and a revolution started when he used violence against the Russians during a peaceful demonstration.
  • What revolution did Marx predict?

    A revolution in which the poor working class would revolt against the rich. They would take the power and form a society based on equality in which there were no individual possessions, so nobody would steal or feel hunger.
  • What happened during the civil war?

    There was a red army fighting for the Bolshevik form of socialism needed because there was a lot of resistance to Lenin's take over and a white army with the Pro-tsarists Russians who were against the peace treaty of Lenin. The red army won and a new country the SU was formed

    Lenin wanted to govern su with capitalism which meant that peasants were allowed to produce for sell/themselves and businessman could own small industries so that the worst damage of the civil war could be restored. Stalin's way of governing su was turning the state into a totalitarian state. The government controls everything. He wanted to industrialise the soviet Union.
  • Why/how did stalin wanted to turn the SU into an industrial superpower?

    He believed that he could outgrow the capitalist Western countries and he believed that if everybody participated as a well-oiled machine he could reach this goal.
