Universalism-particularism. Rules or relationships?
Particularists: judge people according to the relationship they have. (Friend, Sister) Is he/she important to you? That you have an obligation to keep and protect the person. Even if rules and regulations say you should not. Ex, Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
Emotions: Neutral and affective
In affective cultures, it’s normal to communicate your emotions and to receive an emotionally sensitive response in return. (Europe)
Status: achieved and ascribed
Ascribed status: the high status you gain because of whom or what you are associated with (parents, married, age, gender, education).
