  • What is a meeting?

    A planned event where people come together to discuss and take part of activity.
  • Goals of a meeting

    Each meeting has its own purpose, but they all work on the same mutual strategic goal. With taking the strategy and roles of the meeting in consideration, there cannot be an effective meeting. First work on the basic structure of a meeting and then the special requirements of the goal.
  • How to plan a meeting ?

    1: Choose date and time
    2: Select guest lectures or moderators
    3: Think of technical facilities
    4: Communication
    5: Choose location and layout
  • What is a conference?

    A participative meeting designed for discussion, fact research, problem-solving or consultation. In comparison with a congres, a conference is smaller in size and more selective. Not very time-limited but most conference are not long and have specific goals
  • What is a congres?

    Meeting regularly on representative base from hundreds or thousands of individuals that belong to a professional, cultural, religious or other group. A congress is mainly organized to discuss a specific subject, people that present the subject are only members of the organizing party. Mostly yearly or multi-year.
  • What is a convention?

    Basic and formal meeting of legal organ, social or economical group to release information on a specific situation and to deliberate and give approval for this situation for policy. Limited of time and specific goals, no frequence.
  • What is a symposium ?

    Is a meeting with a scientific purpose. The goal is to transfer knowledge and input discussion. Mostly take place at a trade show.
  • What is a seminar ?

    • Training for specialists with different skills but same interest. 
    • Learning purpose
    • Discussion on one theme
    • 1 day programme mostly
    • Can have one goal or mulitple
    • Like: spreading knowledge AND motivation
  • Difference between seminar and workshop?

    Seminar is mostly academic and less practical and focusses on educative purposes. Workshop on skillls.
