ASA I Classification

Normal, healthy patient; no apparent disease, requires no dental management modifications

ASA IV Classification

Patient with severe systemic disease that is incapacitating and life threatening; requires dental modifications
EX: severe CHF or COPD, kidney or liver failure

Below 140/90; although, anything above 120/80 is hypertension

chief complaint- always address that first

Class I Occlusion

Maxillary 1st molar- Lingual Mesial root falls into Mesial Buccal groove of mandibular 1st molar.
Maxillary Canine- falls inline with or on the distal buccal surface of mandibular canine

Class II Division II Occlusion

Maxillary 1st molar- Lingual Mesial root falls over Mesial Buccal cusp of mandibular 1st molar
Maxillary Canine- falls in front of mandibular canine
Maxillary Anteriors- are pushed inwards

Class I Furcations

Early evidence of bone loss; instrument can enter a depressed area leading to furcation (open triangle)
