What is Wernicke's aphasia?

Fluent speech but comprehension not intact.

What is Broca's area? Where is it located?

It is the motor/expressive area (physically speaking). It is located in the (ventroposterior) frontal lobe (of the left hemisphere).

What is Wernicke's area? Where is it located?

It is the receptive language area (comprehension). It is located in the posterior temporal lobe (of the left hemisphere).

How have split-brain patients helped in the research to finding the language areas on the left hemisphere?

The corpus callosum is cut in these patients and therefore if you present something in the left visual field, the patients cannot tell you what it is (because it arrives in the right occipital lobe and cannot cross to the language areas on the left). If you present something in the right visual field, the patient is able to tell you what it is.
