    1. Establishment phase --> about hiring people
    2. Maintenance phase --> involves everything then the employee is in the organisation
    3. Termination phase --> when the employee leaves + administration that goes with that

  • What are the characteristics of the establishment phase?

    Planning, job analysis, job description, job specification, recruitment, selection, arrangements
  • What is the difference between a job description and a job specification?

    A job description is a summary of the the worker will be doing, in other words: the role the workers has in the organisation in terms of duties and responsibilities. 

     A job specification will indicate the sort of person that the organisation is seeking. They will look at the personal qualities, skills, education and work experience.
  • What is internal recruitment?

    Internal recruitment is finding candidates inside the organisation. Companies have to be big in order to do this, it is cheaper).
  • What is external recruitment?

    Finding new candidates outside the organisation. Those people have new and different ideas and attitudes
  • What is arrangements and remuneration?

    Deciding the type of contract of the employee and ways of payin the employee
  • Name three different contracts

    1. Permanent employment
    2. Fixed-term employement
    3. Casual employement
  • What is permanent employment?

    This can be part time or full time. With a part time job the employee and employer agreed on the number of hours ad the working times each week. With a full-time job the hours are usually 38 hours per week.

    This is the most secure form of employement.
  • What is fixed-term employment?

    This can also be full-time or part-time. There is a agreed finishing date for employment. Usually has similar entitlements to permanent employment.
