What does the idea of parental modeling suggest in eating behaviours?
That the eating behavoiurs and attitudes towards food in children will be affected by that of their parents. (Supported by Brown and Odgen who reported consistent correlations between parents and their children in terms of of snack food intake, eating motivations and body dissatisfaction). -
What was the conclusion of Powell and Khan's research (1995)?
Body dissatisfaction and eating disorders (e.g. BN, AN) are more pronounced in white women than black or Asian women. -

What was Freud's belief on schizophrenia?
Freud believed schizophrenia was the result of two processes. The regression to a pre-ego state and attempts to regain ego control. Freud saw and schizophrenia as an infantile state with some symptoms showing pre-ego and other symptoms showing re-establishing ego control -
What is the belief of the cognitive explanation?
Schizophrenics will acquire the condition through biological means, but it will develop cognitively. They will experience hallucinations (e.g.) and turn to others for validation. When others tell them it's not real, the schizophrenic doesn't believe them, developing delusional beliefs that they're being manipulated by others
