    • Heterosexual relationships united by marriage are part of gods plan so many traditional christians oppose homosexual relationships, artificial contraception and out of marriage sex.
    • Others believe the most loving thing to do is adapt teachings to fit a changing world.

  • What is an Islam view towards human sexuality?

    Islam considers all homosexual relationships to be against Gods natural law
  • What are Christian and Islam views towards sex?

    It is urged to be kept inside marriage to make it more special. Strict members still agree with the principle of only having sex within marriage whereas more liberal members may see this as outdated in a changing world. Both are against adultery and see promiscuity as wrong
  • Christian attitudes towards Artificial contraception?

    • Roman catholic church against anything deliberately contraceptive because they believe married couples should transmit human life and some methods are seen as abortion
    • However many individual catholics disagree with this due to STI's and modern day values
    • Other christian churches are in favour of contraception for responsible family planning and they believe it is all down to individual conscience

    • Many focus on making sure reconstituted and single or same-sex parents feel welcomed in the church 
    • In catholic churches divorcees cannot receive communion which could make them feel unwelcome
    • Catholics are more strongly against same-sex parenting 
  • Islam Changing families

    • accepting of divorced people and reconstituted families 
    • many would frown upon same-sex parenting 
    • extended family is important 
  • Christian Gender equality

    • Jesus treat Mary and Martha equally 
    • Bible- wives should do as their husbands tell them however this doesn't correspond with Jesus' attitude towards women 
    • Now many believe both genders are equally
