Definition of social exclusion (Schuyt)
A social group is unable to participate, not allowed to participate or unwilling to participate in several areas in society. -

Describe difference poverty and social exclusion
Poverty is solely related to financial resources and for that reason too restricted. Social exclusion includes additional factors and should therefore be perceived as a process and not as a concrete phenomenon such as being poor. -

It is better to see the relationship between theory and practice as a two-way street: theory should inform practice and practice should inform and test theory. -
