De Duitse Vereniging (1850-1871)

Vanaf 1815 waren de verschillende Duitse staatjes een soort van verenigd onder de Duitse Confederatie. Pruissen, de meest militante Duitse staat, nam de leiding bij de unificatie van Duitsland. Ook in Duitsland was er één iemand die de leiding nam: Otto von Bismarck. President van Pruisen.
